Bring back the icon you liked.

Apple's new black-and-white Music icon, Spotify's redesign, the 2026 Google Workspace icons: when an app's icon changes for the worse, iconrewind helps you put the old one back on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows. Everything is generated in your browser.

What changed, and what we can do about it

iOS, iPadOS and macOS 27.2 (released 26 October 2026) swapped the red Music icon for a note on black or white. Apple Music for Windows followed on 29 October 2026.

The real icon lives inside the app and cannot be replaced safely, so every method here adds a second launcher with the icon you choose. You then hide or unpin the original. That is the honest limit on every platform, and each guide spells out what to expect.

1. Pick your app and icon

The old icon is Apple's own artwork from before the change. Your browser loads it straight from Apple's App Store image server (for most apps with a Wikimedia Commons copy as a backup) when this page opens; we never host it. The tribute icons are our own CC0 drawings. Prefer your own copy? Upload it: it never leaves your browser.

2. Choose your device

iPhone & iPad

A Shortcuts launcher with your icon, plus an optional Web Clip profile (beta).

Mac
